Art Meets Fantasy

I am a computer scientist of 40+ years and I enjoy and appreciate art in its many forms.  This site is dedicated to my attempts at digital art and a place to display what I have created.  The work is my own under the moniker "Ironhelix," a name I have used on the internet since 1993.  My art may not be used for commercial purposed without prior written consent.

I use a variety of digital art tools to create something that strikes me at the moment, usually sci-fi or fantasy based.  Conception to render usually takes anywhere from 4 hours to a week, depending on content complexity and render time.

I've been an avid photographer since I was 14, capturing images for the high school yearbook and my own exploration into photography and photojournalism.  I prefer Nikon cameras and have several that I have used in the past. All old-school 35mm film-based, primarily, some digital.
